More About Pressed Flowers...
Nobody sees a flower, really, it is so small. We haven't time -
and to see takes time, like to have a friend takes time.
---Georgia O'Keeffe.
The vast majority
of the pressed flowers and foliage used
in my botanical art is grown in my gardens in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin.
I have the pleasure of hand selecting and pressing each flower using my
wonderful
Microfleur
Microwave Flower Press which captures their
beautiful vivid colors instantly.
Even though I select flowers that are known to stubbornly keep their
color, slight
fading over time is normal. As with any art medium, Please remember to keep
pressed flower art out of direct sunlight, and avoid extreme
humidity.
