Handmade paper...
The handmade paper I create for my pressed flower/botanical art, cards, etc, is made primarily from recycled papers, with the addition of interesting things such as cotton linter for brightness and strength, and kenauf fibers for body and character.
I
also may add embellishments such as
flower petals, seeds, corn husk fibers,
herbs, embroidery floss or yarn, and
maybe even glitter to enhance the texture
of the paper, and to give it subtle dashes
of color.
If you are interested in learning more
about making handmade paper, please

page for a few great sites.
Also, do a search on Google - there's a ton of helpful and inspiring
information
out there.
If you are in my area, I will be periodically teaching a class in handmade paper
making at the at the
Antioch Fine Arts Gallery.
Feel free to
e-mail me
for details.
